She (Blind) is beautiful. I was looking for a particular color scheme, based on a friend's cat and she fits it to a T. We named her Lucy and she really fits into the family. It took her a while before she snuggled up to us, but now she is never more than a few feet away from me--always. She was a terrific birthday present to myself.

Tux
Updated: Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 06:05PM
Tux is one of the coolest cats I have ever met, and has livend up our house since he came back to my house in May 2008. I just could not let him go to another home, so we decided to adopt him. He is safe and sound and will not have to worry about being abandoned for a third time. He keeps all of us laughing with all of his crazy antics. His favorite thing to do is hide in any open bag he can find. Weighing in at 16 lbs, he is a big boy, and enjoys taking up half of the couch when he sprawls out. He was a very good addition to our family, and I could not think of life without him in our house.

The girls, Nina and Amber, are AWESOME. We love them to pieces. I really missed them while we were on vacation (a house is so empty without a kitty!) and I think they were lonely. Nina slept on my head the first night we got back and Amber wasn't far away. They are never apart from each other. They play together, sleep together, eat together, and get in trouble together! I think Amber really needed a playmate. She still has awful table manners! She tried to run off with a PBJ sandwich today. Then Anya was eating on one side and Amber the other. Anya said, 'she can have some mom!' I told her I would prefer she just give her a piece rather than she eat at one end and the cat at the other! No meal is complete in this house without some cat fur! (Nina (the black kitten) was originally rescued by HSCC from Tri-County Animal Shelter. Amber was found on the side of a county road at 3 weeks of age.)
Doobie
Updated: Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 07:35PM
Doobie is doing great. We renamed him Munich, and he caught on really quickly. (god he is such a smart cat.) He is now completely out of his shell. (he even has his own place on our couch) Chris and him are still building a relationship but he follows me around the house, and is now completely in love with me. He seems like he is always begging for my attention. We even have this thing that we do where we will rub our heads together instead of me petting him all of the time. He is a great cat. You can definitely write this one down as a perfect match. Thank you, so much, Heather
Aspen

Aspen and I are doing great! I am finding out that she is a very adaptable cat. It took her very little time to get comfortable in her new home. Aspen and Libra have met at this point. Aspen seems very comfortable and curious with Libra, but Libra is definitely cautious. They are doing OK together but mostly keep to themselves. I'm really enjoying Aspen's company and I think we're going to be very happy together :=)

Odie
Updated: Wednesday, December 05, 2007 at 11:29PM
Tufty and Odie now have complete run of the house. And are they taking advantage of it. I've never seen two happier, more energetic, or sweeter kittens. Pastel and Allie are watching with curiosity and some caution. I think the old girls are going to love these young boys, as I do, very soon. Now I know why I have always heard the Calvert County cats are the best that you can buy. These two certainly live up to that reputation. Thank you so much for raising such adorable kittens and allowing them to live with us. Cynthia
In the near future, this section will be available for our adopters to post their own Happy Endings. In the meantime, please send your Happy Endings to your adoption counselor for posting.
