Please check out Julie at www.trainingbyjulie.com to learn more about Julie and her awesome team! Hi, I’m a Diamond in the Ruff, Johnny Quest! Our "Diamond in the Ruff" program designates our dogs that have at least one issue that has prevented them from easily finding a forever home. I’ve been at the shelter for a very long time and it’s starting to show. My owner died and no family member was able to take me. I am getting frustrated and my spirit is starting to sink. All of my daily walkers ask the same question that I ask myself, “Why am I still here?” I just don’t know and I’m getting very sad waiting. I go to adoption events and everyone loves me, yet they don’t come back and I don’t know why. So here I sit and wonder when it’s finally going to be my turn. Do you want to meet mw via the web? If so, please click on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5fV17Vy5wA&feature=channel I do have some quirks, but once I’m home I think most of those quirks would subside. I have a prey drive for cats, squirrels, birds, small dogs and I can get snotty with dominant dogs. I think I'd be okay with fish. I’ve been digging holes in the shelter’s play yards, but what they don’t know is I’m planning the big escape. Once I go home, there will be no need to escape. I do like tennis balls and a sport of mine is to rip them apart. But before I rip them, I’ll chase them, zip by you and if you’re quick enough, you’ll tap my butt which will accelerate my speed even more. On a hot day, I’m the first one in the pool. For you ladies looking for a companion, I’m hairy in all the right places and I’ve got muscle to boot. For you guys, I’m not your sissy designer dog and I will lay on the sofa and watch football with you. I’m an all around great dog and I’m pretty sure that’s what you’re searching for. So here’s what I need. A huge yard with a six foot privacy fence so I can run and play to my heart’s delight. If you don’t have a yard, that's no problem! I would also enjoy long walks or runs, so I come home pooped. After all, a tired dog is a happy dog. I really need to be in a home with no other dogs or critters so I can have your undivided attention. And last, I have two requests. The first is you come and meet me at the kennel or another location. The second, is that you do come back and take me home.
