Meet Penny The Mini Husky Mix

Age: 2
Gender: F
Size: Medium
Breed: Husky Mix
Status: Adopted

Penny is an unbelieveably sweet dog! When we say sweet, we mean loves everyone, all the time, no if's, ands or but's about it! She is great with children, in fact, she thoroughly enjoys helping those budding soccer stars (or tennis stars!)train! She will also give random drive-by kisses, especially to the kids. She enjoys helping families do puzzles, build towers of blocks, or even fixing things. She loves everything she does, and gives her whole heart to her activities. She is so much fun and a bundle of love! Penny adores children of all ages. Penny gives playtime all her attention and energy, which some dogs don't appreciate. She would do well in a home with no other dogs, with another high energy dog OR a dog that will ignore her antics, as she will stop trying pretty quickly if they ignore her (and I'm guessing a cat would appreciate the enthusiastic playtime even less, so she shouldn't go to a home with a cat). Penny is very small for a Husky. She only weighs about 35 pounds. She is a beautiful girl and will make a fabulous family dog. She appears to be housetrained. She is quiet and well behaved, knows "no" and "sit", and absolutely loves her crate. She's fully crate trained, and if the crate door is left open, she will even go and lay down in her crate when she's done playing, and loving on everyone. Penny LOVES to run, therefore, we would prefer a fenced yard, though leash walking situations will be considered. In her first 2-4 weeks in your home Penny will be very nervous, and, therefore, will need to be walked on leash, even in a fenced yard, until she's comfortable. Otherwise, she may run away. Once she's fully bonded with you, having her off leash in your yard is not an issue, as she doesn't like to be very far from you. Though she most likely will not do well off lead in a non-enclosed area, as she does like to run so much. Penny's adoption fee is $200. She is worth every cent and more!
